EZproxy
EZproxy is a web proxy server used by libraries to give access to websites that authenticate users by IP address.
EZproxy allows connection to resources directly and only here on this portal using specially prepared EZproxy links and with user identification via logging in by a university account (as to the Portal UP).
How to connect
This portal itself detects whether the user wants to access the resource from the non-university network, in which case it automatically offers a prepared link to EZproxy or Shibboleth link (depending on availability).
- All you have to do is select the required source in the list of sources, or choose "Connect to the resource" on the page of this source.
- You can also use the EZproxy link at the selected source on its page here on the portal.
This page is displayed by clicking the link [more info] in the source list.
Then, in the section "Additional Information", you'll find a line with the link Remote access: EZproxy.
In both cases, you will be prompted to log in, as you are used to with a Single Sign-On to the Portal UP.
