Screen Studies Collection includes three important film databases/indexes. It is possible to search simultaneously in all indexes or enter each one separately.
- American Film Institute Catalog – filmographic resource produced by the American Film Institute (AFI) offersdetail information on feature films produced in U.S.A. or financed by production companies in periods 1893-1974 comprehensively, with additional records covering selected major films from 1975 onwards. The database contains over 60,000 entries.
- Film Index International – a film Archive produced by the British Film Institute offers more than 150,000 detail entries on films from 170 countries since the first silent films to present day. The database also contains information on nearly 740,000 persons related to the film business.
- FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Database – is a database of film literature and other resources in the field of film science produced by the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). It contains about 400,000 entries on journal articles from 340 technical and popular journals since 1972 to present day. The Plus version offers 85,000 articles in full text. The database is updated every month.
The database can be used by only one concurrent user.
