The Sociological Encyclopedia is a basic information base for all those interested in sociology and sociological knowledge, which is guaranteed by the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The encyclopedia includes Czech sociological dictionaries: Slovník českých sociologů, Slovník institucionálního zázemí české sociologie, Malý sociologický slovník, and Knižní bibliografie české sociologie. The content is regularly supplemented and updated. The chief editor is Zdeněk R. Nešpor.
