Medvik enables simultaneous searching of the catalog of the National Medical Library (NLK) – monographs, journals, grant reports, electronic media, internet resources, the catalog of the Department of Scientific Information at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the catalog of the State Institute for Drug Control, the catalog of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, and the catalog of the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, etc.

The Medvik portal also searches the Bibliographia medica Čechoslovaca database built by the NLK. Bibliographia medica Čechoslovaca is a Czech national bibliography on the field of medicine that excerpts Czech and Slovak medical literature since 1947 (in Slovakia until 1996). The database also contains papers by Czech and Slovak authors published in foreign medical journals. It covers monographs, journal articles, reviews, conference proceedings, and reports.
