PressReader
PressReader offers online access to the full text of approximately 7,000 newspaper titles and popular journals in 60 languages from over 120 countries.
For example, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, Czech titles Mladá Fronta Dnes, Hospodářské noviny, Lidové noviny and many others.
Titles are available on the day of release in full version as printed versions. Articles include listening, emailing, and sharing on social networks. The archive is for most titles for 3 months.
You can also download PressReader to your mobile device (via Google Play, AppStore, etc.). In the UP library, download your selected titles on your device through the Eduroam network and read your favorite titles offline. Even titles can be downloaded outside the wifi network of the library - always two days after her visit!
Radiant Access allows a reader who has downloaded the PressReader application on their mobile device or accesses pressreader.com via a library connection (or wherever the PressReader HotSpot service is provided) can use the service even after leaving the hotspot. So after leaving the library, the service works anywhere for usually 48 hours. The library therefore sponsors the reader to access the service for two days after leaving. Content that the reader has downloaded to their mobile device is still available after the deadline.
If you want to use all the features of the PressReader service (e.g. translator), you must create a personal account within the service.
Access to the database is implemented with the support of the VISK 8 project of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
