SciVal is an analytical tool for assessing science and research, offering quick and easy access to the research performance of more than 16,000 research institutions and their associated researchers from around 230 countries.

SciVal uses data from the bibliographic and citation database Scopus, covering 1996 to the present and including more than 48 million records. SciVal receives a weekly update of new data from Scopus, and due to processing times, SciVal is usually 1–2 weeks behind Scopus.
