Oxford English Dictionary (OED) is the online version of this English language dictionary.

It contains more than 600,000 words from English-speaking countries all over the world and examples of their usage in more than 3,5 mil. citations from various resources (from classical literature and technical journals to film scenarios and cook books). Dictionary offers etymologic analysis of words, spelling variants and pronunciation variants as well as the list of citation references on the time line. About 2,500 new words every quarterly.
