The Military Historical Institute in Prague has made available a digital collection of printed sources mapping the war losses of the Austro-Hungarian army from the period 1914–1918 through the Digital Study Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic. It is so easy to access, for example, the list of prisoners of war, which records soldiers whose affiliation to a military body or home affiliation could not be ascertained due to deficiencies in the records that came from the Red Cross of states hostile to Austria-Hungary or to reports on the wounded and sick.
